本稿は、知的障害者の学校教育、特に「キャリア教育」について、今日的課題を論考したものである。論考の視点として、①戦後、我が国の障害者の福祉施策の経緯 ②戦後、知的障害者の教育制度 の2つの視点から、「キャリア教育」を概観し、それらを踏まえて、今日的課題を論究した。\n 今日的課題としては、① 文部科学省の提唱する「キャリア教育」を構成する中の、「基礎的・汎用的能力」を今後、学校教育現場に実践課題としての教育方法。② 従前より行われてきた、「個別の指導計画」「個別の教育支援計画」「個別の移行支援計画」を3 つのツールを基本に、PDCA サイクルに則って教育実践することが重要な視点であり、そのことが教師の専門性を向上させる有力な手立てである。今後ますますこの3 つのツールの活用が重要性を帯びること。③ 2016( 平成28)
